What Will You Do About Jesus?

Now that the time of celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord has passed and the influx of emails and ads have slowed, I believe it safe to enter into the email waters with a new post! The fervor of what many call Easter fades after the claptrap of the season stops and we are on to Mother’s Day. I won’t go into a long diatribe here about Easter. Hopefully you have seen the truth about that. If not, communicate with me and I’ll send you what I have about the truth. One problem with the counterfeit social celebration of Easter is does not answer the burning questions, “Now that the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is acknowledged, what are we going to do about Jesus Christ and what will He do with us?”

Questions about the Bible, the Church, what happens after this life, or Heaven and Hell have all been answered in the death, burial and resurrection of the man Jesus Christ Who is now at the right hand of the Heavenly Father. The Holy Ghost has been sent to witness with our conscience that this is the Gospel of Truth. (Romans 8:16, Acts 5:32, Romans 8:14, 2 Corinthians 1:22, 2 Corinthians 6:18, Galatians 4:6, and most especially 2 Peter 1:21)

The question of what shall we do with Jesus Christ is NOT a once a year, Christmas/Easter, or a Sunday/Wednesday question. It is a moment by moment, action by action, thought by thought question that MUST be answered individually. In some of my readings I found this poem by A. B. Simpson. I attach it here for you to read, meditate and act upon.

I value your comment, please share with me how you have answered this question.

WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH JESUS?
     A. B. Simpson (1843-1919)

Jesus is standing in Pilate’s hall,
Friendless, forsaken, betrayed by all;
Hearken! what meaneth the sudden call?
What will you do with Jesus?

What will you do with Jesus?
     Neutral you cannot be.
Some day your heart will be asking,
“What will He do with me?”

Jesus is standing on trial still,
You can be false to Him if you will,
You can be faithful through good or ill:
What will you do with Jesus?

What will you do with Jesus?
     Neutral you cannot be.
Some day your heart will be asking,
“What will He do with me?”

Will you evade him as Pilate tried?
Or will you choose Him, whate’er betide?
Vainly you struggle from Him to hide:
What will you do with Jesus?

What will you do with Jesus?
     Neutral you cannot be.
Some day your heart will be asking,
“What will He do with me?”

Will you, like Peter, your Lord deny?
Or will you scorn from His foes to fly,
Daring for Jesus to live or die?
What will you do with Jesus?

What will you do with Jesus?
     Neutral you cannot be.
Some day your heart will be asking,
“What will He do with me?”

Jesus, I give Thee my heart today!
Jesus, I’ll follow Thee all the way,
Gladly obeying Thee!” will you say:
This I will do with Jesus!”

What will you do with Jesus?
     Neutral you cannot be.
Some day your heart will be asking,
“What will He do with me?”
